A safe, nurturing place
Supported visitation, also known as ‘parenting time,’ is a family-centered service that provides a safe, nurturing place for non-residential parents to visit with their children.
The Center for Parenting and Play offers affordable supported visitation services where parents and children can spend quality time playing together in our fun indoor playspace. Whether climbing on our play structure, working on a craft together or sharing a book on one of our cozy couches, parents and children can relax and enjoy their time together.

What happens during a supported visitation visit?
A non-judgmental support worker will be present at each visit - interacting before the visit with both parent and child - helping to facilitate play activities and calm interactions between the two.
To determine if supported visitation services are right for you, simply call our office at (207) 710-2392. If appropriate, an interview will be scheduled which takes approximately one hour. We will review guidelines and expectations, gather information and make a plan for visits between you and your child. We ask that each family provide us with all relevant legal documentation, if applicable. Divorce paperwork, court orders, parental rights and responsibilities and protection orders may be requested prior to the first visit.
$50 for the initial intake appointment. (Sliding scale is not available for this visit).
Each visit costs $75 and lasts 1.5 hours, which includes 15 minutes of parent coaching before and after each visit.
(A sliding fee scale is available for parents who qualify).
